A stimulating and challenging Curriculum

Our Curriculum is wide and varied and is specifically designed to allow opportunities for interesting and stimulating  lessons .We are very conscious of the need to equip Student for future challenges and learning and as such we emphasis the development  of skills as well as understanding and knowledge.

The academic core

Maths, English and Science lessons, with a particular emphasis in the latter upon investigations, usually take place in the morning with other, less academic subjects in the afternoon. Geography and History make up a board humanities curriculum which strongly features the important influence of local history. Coventry has a rich and stimulating past.

Classroom

Our classrooms have a seating capacity of 40 and are well ventilated with ample natural light. Ergonomically designed furniture, smarts boards and teaching aids are available to facilitate the learning

Teaching Staff

The School is proud to have team of highly qualified and experienced staff in each of the sections. The teaching staffs come from different parts of India. They impart knowledge in strict accordance with the CBSE guidelines. The School provides child-centered learning opportunities so as to explore students’ latent abilities and sharpen their personalities

Computer Lab

Technology advancement has affected every sphere of life especially education. The has changed our perception of what a school should provide for its students. In times of booming technology the computer labs at SKSV provide the appropriate platform to the students to be future technocrats. The computer labs are used not just to hone the skills of computer geeks but also provide an exposure to the novices. With four main labs which cater to the needs of senior middle, junior and nursery sections, labs also provide facilities to the students to explore the world through internet. 

Library

The Library of SKSV offers a range of Resources to its students. These resources are provide to cater the specific academic needs of the Students. The library have a well selected collection of Books journals, Periodicals, Newspapers and Audio Visual Media. New additions are constantly made in order to keep the library abreast of the latest.

Laboratories

The gift of science has added greatly to the dignity and sublimity of human civilization and science is often acclaimed as angel of creative ideas. It is to hone these creative ideas that SKSV has excellent laboratories of physics, chemistry and biology; and it is here that students learn to bring their experiments out of these labs to their daily lives.

Physics lab

It is an ultra modern lab fully equipped with latest apparatus to provide the much needed facilities to the students from classes 1 to XII. The senior wing lab caters to the requirement of students from classes VI-XII with 50 students at a time. It also includes a dark room for experiments on light. Besides practicals the lab is also used for activities of the Astronomy Club.

Chemistry Lab

The Chemistry Lab in SKSV is well equipped with all modern apparatus and chemicals required upto class XII. With the seating capacity of about 50 students in this well ventilated hall, the lab also prides itself of having a balance room for volumetric analysis. Students are guided by qualified teachers and lab assistants to complete their projects and experiments.

Biology Lab

The spacious, well ventilated Biology Lab caters to the requirement of senior students. Keeping the latest syllabus I mind the models, specimens, charts, chemicals etc have been well planned. Besides, the lab is self sufficient with other necessary assets such as hot case, refrigerator and water bath etc. the well qualified teachers and lab assistants are yet another asset for the lab.

Sports & Games

The school truly believes in the concept of a healthy mind with a healthy body-brawn with brains. For the students, the most favorite period in the time table is the Pt. Period when they have access to various games such as football basketball, volleyball cricket badminton and athletics. The other activities the cater to needs of students are Wonderland and yoga. Some of the favorite indoor games are Ludo and chess.

Extra Features

To develop creativity, aesthetic interest attitudes and physical fitness of the child, extra-curricular activities are organized from time to time inter-house and inter school competitions of Elocution, Debate, Spelling Bees Quiz, and Essay are held every year. Science exhibitions, Art & Craft exhibitions, Dramatics and Sports, organized annually encourage the students to develop their Talents

The Academic Calendar provided at the beginning of each session gives an account of all the activities, examinations and holidays throughout the academic year. The school dairy entails the Performa of record of assessment & general rules that are to be followed.
